February 25, 2018 - Update 171

Trash Dog Event # 171
February 17,2018
Old Mill Site Gravel Bar

Two 5th wheel camp trailers dumped/discarded on the gravel bar across the Rogue River Road from the old mill site were broken up, dismantled and hauled as trash to Curry Transfer and Recycling (CTR).  This was an all day job of dismantling by Volunteers Jane Stebbins, Beth Walden, Rory Mc Donald, James Fournier, Steve Lowe, Ray Sundblad, Wayne Sundin, Ron Lewis, John Thompson, Randy Patterson, Ed Gross, Marty Van Otterloo, Mark Anderson, and Joe Janowicz.  Thank you Volunteers for all you do!  Next step is to cut up and recycle the chassis that remains on site.

Cost to dispose of trash and mileage for Event # 171 will run over $500.  These are costs the public pays for through their generous donations.  So we ask citizens what can you do to stop the epidemic of people dumping worn out RVs and other camp trailers on public and private lands of Curry County?  The Trash Dogs appreciate donations.  Donations can be sent to the Trash Dogs, PO Box 444, Brookings, OR 97415.
